17 boys I whispered 17 secret nothing words to 17 times today
2005

His work (installations, sculptures, artist books) is directed towards beauty and the sublime transcendency of emptiness, the interdiction between life and death. Seduction, lust and desire are passages of his artistic strategy with an imaginative, polymorphic and perverse approach. In his installation, sexuality always subtly present, is not forced by ideological and moral limits. Instead it is the necessary instrument to forget the difficulties of existence, it becomes the solution to solve the infinite solitude that each man knows and experiments in everyday life. The meaning of his objects is strictly connected both with the private narration and with a wide range of implied subcultural associations (porno). Frequently using commonplace materials, transformed through the artistic procedure into a classical aesthetics, Koh makes installations that become surreal experiences for the viewer. Extremely fine white powders (at times also black) cover objects or entire spaces creating a milky, suspended and at times frozen atmosphere of dense expectation of pathos.
