Fuck-Face (1994), Zygotic Acceleration (1995) e Tragic Anatomies (1996) sono lavori dove i fratelli Chapman utilizzano il corpo umano per mettere in scena un'estetica dell'orrore. Manichini di bambini dal realistico aspetto antropomorfo rivelano, a uno sguardo più attento, mostruose figure di ermafroditi in cui ogni genere di anomalia genetica si manifesta in assurde combinazioni di arti, teste, gambe, torsi a volte fusi insieme, i cui orifizi – nasi, orecchie e bocche – sono rimpiazzati da ani, vagine e peni in erezione. I titoli di questi lavori combinano humour e capacità di scioccare, caratteristica questa del lavoro dei fratelli Chapman. L'approccio è tipico della brit art: le figure mostruose create dai due artisti diventano rappresentazioni assurde e ironiche di un'epoca in cui il corpo è trasformato in un'entità rinforzata da protesi metalliche, modificato dalla chirurgia plastica, by pass, microchip, tatuaggi e piercing, alterazioni genetiche. I corpi ibridi dei Chapman non vogliono glorificare l'aberrazione, ma semplicemente mostrare la possibilità futuribile della riproduzione nella società contemporanea.
